There have been random fights in my school. Today was one of those days. A girl got hit in her temple by a guy and started to seize...I still haven't heard how she is doing but I know she was rushed to the hospital. I want to go my principal and present to him a plan to get student involved in stopping this. I live in the south and in my school there are a lot of racism issues, a lot of fights. If anyone could direct me to any sights it would be greatly appreciated.

You can form a club (of sorts) with several of your peers and call it "peer assistance" or something like that - it should be about helping other kids resolve issues in a positive and constructive manner, before the fight breaks out. You and others in the club would set standards and put posters all over school about how to do it, with like 1. speak your mind w/out cursing or blaming, 2. now tell your side, etc. etc. While the students are working it out, someone would serve as a moderator, of sorts. (mediator, I mean.) You would have to have staff members counsel you on what you can and can't do, but it's a start. Good 4 you!!! :)

I'm sorry but violence is something that will never go away. In fact, some people purposely stir up trouble when there is none to be had. About the only thing that you can do is watch out for yourself and your friends. Also, if you know of other students who plan on any massacres, report it immediately.

I don't think you can stop violence, I do think those who perpetrate it should be removed from the school, threat of permanent expulsion and arrest is normally enough to keep the tide down. Does you school support the Zero tolerance policy?

this is a government site on the policy. Good Luck and I hope that girl is ok.

1. Get the parents involved in the schools
2. Get God back into the classroom
3. Swift, fair punishments to violators

And, not necessarily in that order. I'm talking "old school" that worked back in the early 1970's and prior.

wait, this is 2007 and were still having race issues in school? are you kidding? wow, that's horrible. i think if kids are going to continue to act like babies, the school should take just about every privilege away from them... make the little boogers earn recess and start handing out seating assignments at lunch.

when i was in highschool (a decade ago), they gave us the rod. i went to a religious school so we got paddled when we misbehaved. of course for some reason, i could never take the punishment seriously, so i'd burst out laughing and then get into more trouble. but it did seem to work with all of the guys in my class, because they'd walk back in to class with their eyes all red and swollen like they'd been crying like babies.

After the first incident (it truly is often in early grade college ok-second grade) do no longer enable them come again. i'm no longer talking about a boyhood scuffle on the playground or tripping a baby in PE...We had a baby in Kinder stab yet another youngster with scissors and a boy in 1st who had to sit down down on my own contained in the nook and could no longer have scissors and in reality a million pencil at a time...those babies are a threat and a distraction to something of the students. i could wager if their father and mom had to discover decision (severe priced) training that habit could advance genuine quick. edit: I requested my babies the different day in the journey that they ever were given drained of the "undesirable" babies. both youthful ones only stated sure, they wanted they could go away off, already. The older one became truly vocal. He stated he wanted he could get a loose pass on some "beat downs". That he and his friends could do something about the undesirable habit quite of only sitting again of their seats and writing off yet another hour of time spent waiting for the era to end, because they were going to get no longer something accomplished besides. in previous cases i imagine there became a stigma connected to being the undesirable youngster. Now there are such truly some undesirable babies no man or woman looks to care....unhappy, truly.
