Law schools aren't very big. I haven't heard of any school in CA where the faculty isn't very accessible. Hastings prolly has the worst rep for that, but they're a relatively huge law school that likes to foster a non-collegial atmosphere.
Hasting's "rival" is UC Davis, and it's pretty much the complete opposite. Instead of big city, cut your classmate's throat whenever possible, it's a small hippiesh school out in the boonies where everyone sings kum by yah and will actually help each other out even tho they're technically all competing against one another.
