are girls getting their periods earlier these years? because I think it used to be normal to get your period at age 15 or 16, then it was 13 and 14 and now lots of girls its between 10 and 12!

I am now 34 years old. I started my period when I was 10 years old, that was in 1983. I do think that I was on the young side though. There is no "normal" when it comes to this.

Yes, they are. I'm shocked as well. I had my first at 13 and most girls back then (70's) got theirs between 12 and 18.
They say it's because we are putting a lot of hormones into our foods. They're making our girls mature faster.

Its normal... the average age range has been 8 -18...girls have even been know to have them as early as 2. so its a big range... yes it is normal

honestly i got mine around when i turned and i am fourteen (next month i will be 15 though).... it really just depends on their family history.. they normally follow their mothers so that indicates that .. no they dont start earlier u ust dont know about the ones that start around 14 to 16..... am i right???? I KNOW I AM!!!!

yes...........................many people drink regular milk;not organic anymore! Normal milk has hormones in them which makes our hormones kick in faster! i got my period when i was 12! it also depends on the mother, usually the child gets it 1 year later than her mom did! i did!

yes I'm convinced its the hormones and other garbage they put into our food my daughter started hers at 10 and wears a b cup
