I have a feeling all of those aren't wat the one i hear means ~_~ but yeah like this girl nicknamed a girl "Gori". The girl asked another girl what it meant and she told her it meant something strong, huge and clever. Oh and with lots of hair or something. The next day she was upset about it (I think it's not something pleasant).

It's a shortened form of Gorilla. Unusual (and unkind) as a girl's nickname, but fairly common for guys.

It is not a real Japanese word, but I am pretty sure that they took "Gori" from the word "Gorilla". It is common for the young generation in Japan to shorten words (as they see fit) . A friend of mine got the nickname "Gori" for the same exact reason.

Do you mean Gori oshii? Means pushing your idea forward strongly. Push your opinion and not asking others what they think.

Where did you find it? I want to know its kanji or the context.
"gori" ( 五里 ) can mean a distance of 12 miles.
There is a Japanese entertainer called "gori" ( ゴリ ) who is from Okinawa of Japan.

As Mickey22_jp two posts below and I said, it must be a hairy comedian by the name of Gori ( ゴリ ). Mr. Tamura Atsushi, who is also a comedian, named him Gori after gorilla because he looks like it.

I think your friend was upset because Gori is a name of a comedian. He plays a high school girl character. He is hairy and obnoxious.

"郡"?
If that's what you're talking about, it's a surname meaning "administrative division".
If you're watching soccer in Japanese, "goalie".
If your last name is "Gorrie" or "Gowlie" and someone addressed you as that, well, that's pretty self-explanatory.
