Eating directly before bed will not specifically cause nightmares, but it certainly disrupts sleep patterns. Sleeping is the body and brain's time to rest, eating right before sleep means the body has to work to digest that food most of the night, which is abnormal and disruptive.

I heard it was more what is in what you eat before going to bed. Like chocolate has caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant.

It can cause you to gain weight lol that could be a really big nightmare.....
