If I use a certain deodorant, I wont offend other people and will not cause problems at work due to "bad body odor". What part of the Freudian system does this appeal to?
EGO, ID, or SUPEREGO???

If you're not looking too deeply into the question, the answer would be superego. The superego keeps you from acting in offensive or taboo ways, which body odor could be considered taboo.

However, if you really want to impress your teacher or professor(since I'm assuming this is for homework-but if not it's an interesting thought)...consider this.........

Biologically (although it's hard to imagine) body odor is intended to turn on the opposite sex. Wanting to act on your sexual drive would be the work of your Id.
Considering that, the answer to your question about deodorant would be the Ego. Because it is balancing out your sexual impulse with a societal taboo.

Superego, because it is dealing with the norms of society and culture.

Edit: here is also what wiki said "Super-ego: Freud's theory says that the super-ego is a symbolic internalization of the father figure and cultural regulations." Again, cultural regulations involve wether or not smelling a particular way is rewarded in society or looked down upon.

Think of it this way. Your ID is the child within you, wanting everything his way. Your Superego is your parents telling you its not right/appropiate. and your Ego is what balances it out.

Your superego notices that your stinky, your ID doesnt really care and your Ego is giving you a liable solution that works for everyone without any measure of extremes.
