I heard the Pats gave Stallworth an offer today but hes still visiting in Tennesse and Miami. Am I waisting my time thinking that this guy might be a Patriot or is this a good chance?

OK, Britt.....

This is probably the way it "went down." They either offered him a short-term deal or a long-term deal that protected themselves if he got injured or fell off the wagon. He, being human, wanted to see if another team would give him something better so he went to Miami and Tenn.

Now if he gets a better offer, then he will decide to go with money or a chance for a quick ring.

So no you're not WASTING your time, but just don't lose any sleep over it. If you're gonna lose sleep, there are better ways to do it =)

The patriots gave him a very good offer but he is still looking around trying to find the best offer...and by the way the patriots no longer have Doug they cut him in the middle of last season and troy brown is a free agent this year and prolly only as about 1 more year left in him anyway....I would like to see stallworth on the pats only if he can stay healthly, the signing of Wes welker was huge and i'm happy about that trade but i would like to see just 1 more good receiver for tom to throw to weather it be moss or stallworth

Its not going to happen because the just signed Wes Welker, they have Troy Brown, Chad Jackson, Reche Caldwell, and Doug Gabriel still. There isn't any room or much need for Stallworth.

its more then possible, according to nfl.com and several other sources stallworth apparently said he'd take a one year deal from the patriots to play with a proven winner to show his worth to new england and the leauge so we shall see i love new england and i hope they do id prefer stallworth even with his minor problems then them somehow landing moss

Doesn't make much sence since they alreay traded & overpaid for Wes Walker and wasted a 1st round last year on Chad Jackson. Look for a WR taken in the 1st or 2nd to fill the void.

Hey...***** Bob....you ARE a *****! Do your home work, Doug Gabriel is NOT a Patriot. He was let go. Go check the roster sheet on nfl.com or at the NE website. SHEEEESH!

I can't see the Pat's wanting him, he's a doper and he's always hurt.

Not gonna happen. He just checked in to the drug abuse program and Belichek won't put up with that.
