If they don't want to hang out with you JUST because you play the game, that is a rediculous reason and they aren't true friends if they judge you like that.

Hence the warcraft addiction. One way to earn back your friends is to try not playing for 5 days or so. Soon your urge to talk and play the game will lessen, which will leave you time to hang out with your friends. I have currently gone for a few weeks without WoW, and it is actually not too hard to resist playing.

are your friends not happy because you are ditching them to play the game or because all you ever talk about is the game? They won't like being ignored, so try to set aside time to spend with them that has nothing to do with the game. Don't even talk about it.
If they are unhappy because they think you are a geek for playing it, then get some new friends, these are obvioulst to shallow and not worth degrading yourself.

It's your decision to play the game, but it seems like it's affecting your friendships. Limit the time you play the game, if you can't leave while playing for whatever reason, then don't play this game on certain days.

It's a good chance to get fresh air, do homework, and keep in touch with real life.

WOW isn't your life. Remember that. It may seem like it, but it isn't something real... You need real people that you actually see face to face. Go on hiatus for a while... It's for your own good, before it's too late. I'm not telling you to quit. Just limit your time and have willpower to get rid of the addiction.

I had a situation like this before. Gaming almost wrecked my relationship with my family. Please, help yourself and remember that without real people you are NOTHING. A man isn't an island...

kids were called star trek junkies, dungeons and dragons freaks, and now warcraft weirdos......realize, they see you as the nerd that the nerd table rejects.

You could find new friends who don't mind if you ignore them for a stupid game....
