No really what kind of frogs do frog legs come from? Like the frogs in my backyard or Bull frogs, etc?

Although some species of frog are inedible, the main reason bullfrogs are sought after as food is that even with them, it's a lot of work for a little bit of meat. Sure, you could fry up some whole spring peepers, but that's kinda disturbing........

BIG wonkin' bull frog's legs yuuummmmmeeeeeeeeeeee! A more delicious and tasty meat doesn't exist!
YucK! Don't eat the yard frogs and toads. They are nasty and some are poisonous.

normal green water frogs ,their is a special breed that is a bit bigger than wild ones
tree frogs are very small and live mostly in the tropics
and bull frogs also come from warmer climates
the edible/comercial frog come from france

They come from bullfrogs. And you fry them just like you would chicken. After being fried they look like small drumets. Also,all white meat. Goooooood!
