I don't think, I KNOW they are the best band EVER!!! They were the best band when they started the Quarrymen, they were the best band when they were the Silver Beatles, they were the best band as The Beatles, of course, they were the best band when they broke up, they were the best band when John was murdered, they were the best band when Paul, George, and Ringo got back together in the 80s-90s to finish John's recordings and create the Beatles Anthology (which is a FANTASTIC set of DVDs), they were the best band when George passed away, they were the best band when the "Love" album was created just recently, they are the best band when Ringo and Paul finish another Lennon song, and they forever will be the best band until the world ends in a zillion years (even after that they'll still be the universe's best band ever!) I LOVE THE BEATLES!!!!!!!! Oh, and I love your page!

Time and Life magazines sure do. Then again, they think a lot of bogus things. I swear they put them in the #1 spots mainly because they're afraid to put anybody else there. People tend to call the Beatles "the best" for the same reason they call Godfather II "the best": years of habit.
I really think the Beatles are the most OVERRATED band of all time. I certainly can't deny the impact they've had on music, but they're hardly the be-all, end-all of pop, let alone all music.

That's what happens when two of the greatest song writers this planet will ever see get together and write a ton of songs.
THAT is the factor separating anybody from the beatles. Anymore, if there is a bit of talent (or perceived talent), people leave groups and go solo.

I do like the Beatles, but just my personal opinion, I think that Pink Floyd is the best band that will ever be.
Remember, this is just my opinion. I think it's cool you like the Beatles. They're a good band.

I don't think they were the best musicians to ever live. I think they were talented song writers and were original. By their own admission they were also very lucky.
