I feel guilty if I lie in bed past 8 or 9 am. When I was younger, my parents believed that we all had to be doing something useful or constructive ALL of the time. I am convinced that 30 years later, I still feel guilty for lazing around - like I am wasting time!. I am much better at relaxing now - it does you so much good - wipe out the feelings of guilt - do what you want to do!

you don't have to feel like that. It's the bodies way of keeping you going; to sleep too much is depressive, to get up and do stuff is rewarding - and so, is unadulterated snoozy sleeping in bed all day. Once in a a blue moon, that kind of thing is really good for you as it rejuvenates the mind as well as the body - it's OK to take a break from life every now and then, sit away from it all under the covers in safety - IT'S OKAY, promise.

nooo dont worry dont feel guilty yeah i think everyone feels like they need more sleep than needed, i sure do, sooo hard to get up in the morning i almost feel like i wish i didn't have to go to school! basically it's YOUR day and YOUR decision. Dont let anyone make u feel guilty because if you feel like you need something necessary than u need it and others have no right whatsoever to make u feel bad about it. So go on and relax and continue doing what u feel is the best for you! btw how old are u? cuz if u are a teen u need more sleep that others, so the ones who make u feel guilty have to understand!

No, not lazy you're just tired and need to rest but it could be very boring.
Personally, I am a morning person and like to be up before 5 or 6 am. However I crash at about 1pm and have no energy so I rest in the afternoon.
I don't feel guilty.

Yeah I do when I get up for work everyday getting up at about 7am in the morning and leaving out and going to work about 8am 4 9am shift I feel really tired and on my days off which is Saturday and Sunday I get up at the same time - I think its because our body clocks are used to getting up at that exact particular time during the week that you cannot lie in past that time - so thats why you get up at that time and feel completely tired all the rest of the next week etc etc.

You feel guilty cos you think that even if your not working you should be doing something constructive. its probably your parents fault! I get up at 8ish at weekends and hols too. And I feel guilty if Im not 'doing something'
But we deserve a rest, our minds and bodies need a good lie in every now and then. So just go for it and snooze the day away. Preferably with chocolate to hand

If you work hard, then lying in bed occasionally is need to recharge your batteries. You wouldn't manage all day anyway because you would get bored, try it and find out.

Just chill out and don't feel guilty,
there are plenty of people who are too lazy to work that lay in
bed all day.

Everybody needs a nice lazy day occasionally. Don't feel bad about it - it's called a mental health day.
