is this a good general statement?

Language is way of communication and literature is giving us lot of lesson. Is these a good general statement on language and literature. If not can you guys suggest an example? Thanks

Well, the statement isn't gramatically correct. the language is a way of communication is good though

Language is one method of communication, literature is language in written form.
