I did something like that when I was in school. (A long, long time ago, class of "1991") Anyway we were instructed to carry an egg that had been poked and drained of its contents. It was by no means as elaborate as the baby's used today in schools. The baby's nowadays are high-tech. I think the kids are supposed to write down everything they do for the baby ie. feeding, changing, sleeping, etc. I think it helps young people get a very small glimpse into the life of a parent. I don't know if teenage pregnancy has dropped or not since these programs have come into existence but it seems like it should have some effect on it. If my children are asked to do this assignment I will definitely encourage them to follow through and do a good job on it. I'm sorry, I don't mean to ramble on this subject caught my attention.

I didn't have to but knew people who did. I heard the baby cries in the middle of the night. And it records how long it takes you to make the baby stop crying and stuff. And if you drop it too. Not exactly sure how that works but that's what i've heard.

Yes, I did have to do that also, it was cool, because they really woke you up in the night and they had a key u had to insert in them and turn it off, making them quit crying. it was like taken care of a newborn. Now my mother told me that when she was in school they used bags of flour or sugar that they had to carry around with them all day in school and at home. that would suck!

We had to carry an egg. They were all stamped so we couldn't get another if we crushed ours. I had two - twins, Harley and Davidson. Harley was a very happy and content egg, but Davidson, I think, had collick. Can't tell you how many nights he kept me awake crying, or chirping, or whatever noise he (she?) made.
