what career is this?

when you want to study genetic disorders. i mean i know its called a geneticist, but i don't want to do the mixing of the DNA and that stuff, i just want to study and find cures for the disorders. is there a specific name for it? or is it just geneticist?

I think geneticist may be all encompassing. You do it all.
