It's a MYTH that Nash makes Marion better. Marion was the same player with or without Nash. In 2001 Marion averaged a double double with 17.3 ppg & 10.7 rpg, in 2003 Marion was a all-star,he was in the playoffs & his point average was 21.2 ppg, in 2004 Marion averaged 19.0 ppg & 9.3 rpg.
Marion without Nash was an all-star, he played in the playoffs, & he averaged a double double. This guy was already the player he is now. So you basketball morons needs to give Marion his own credit. It's Marion who practice his shooting to become a better shooter, it Marion who grab his own rebounds, it's Marion who gets his own steals & blocks, it's Marion who runs around the court dodging his defenders, and it's Marion who runs around picks to get himself open, Nash doesn't do any of that for Marion! So you basketball morons need to face reality and give Marion his props. All Nash does is find Marion after Marion hustled around and got himself open.
MARION IS HIS OWN STAR, SO QUIT THE NASH HYPE!

You guys act like Nash have a remote control in his hand. The Suns isn't Nash's toys. They should get credit for they own hard work.

C-Nice 44,
Marion is doing what he SUPPOSED to do? Well Nash is doing what he SUPPOSED to do, you UNCLE TOM! Anyways, Marion's a SMALL forward, how many SMALL forwards do you see averaging a double double with REBOUNDS & point? You're nothing but a BASKETBALL MORON & A UNCLE TOM!

I give Marion props. It's together, that they make each other great. Nash gives Marion scoring opportunities, Marion gives Nash opportunities. They make each other better players. Without Nash, the Suns werent winning. I dont care about what he did or didnt do in Dallas, the minute he came to Phoenix, they went from just barely making the playoffs, to being contenders for the NBA Finals.

Suns without Marion will not win too. You are quite right about that. Marion, as far as I can see, is the best running PF u can get in NBA. Also without his defense and 3 pt shooting, Phoenix will not be up at the top. But Nash is the one who can get him the ball and that is also a big part of the team's success. So they both need to be think of together. (like Stockton and Malone).

Marion does get his credit in Fantasy League. He is ranked higher than Nash as he contributes in more categories, ie Block.

Shawn Marion is a great player, but what did the Suns do those couple of years. Marion is an even better player with Nash, knowing that Nash will find him, and make it easier on him, so he doesn't have to create his shot, Nash serves it up on a silver platter.

I see your name is stats & facts do you even play the game. Real ballers know the importance of a great point. He makes everything EASIER.... do you understand! No one questions Marions hustle(hes a great garbageman ie:offensive boards), he's turned his self into a 1st team defender, and he rebounds like hes 6'10". But that is your job when you run out on the wing, you are SUPPOSED to get behind the defense. If you do play (and I doubt you do) pick a bum on the sideline who cant pass & and doesent knock down the open jumper and see how much harder it is for you and your big guy to get shots if the D collapses. Nash makes the game easier, bottom line.

He should get more credits I'll give you that. The problem is, people somehow don't respect players who can move and score without the ball in his hands and I also believed that Shawn Marion isn't that good at creating his own shot, but hey; There's only one ball on each game.
