Well, when I was a kid...if I knew I had a bad grade going in...I'd keep it to myself and bust my hump to get it raised before it ended up on my report card. Ask for extra credit, and for any assignments your teacher will let you make up.
If you already have an F on a report card...I'd STILL ask your teacher what you can do to raise it. That way, if your mom has a conference with her/him...the teacher can tell her that you made the effort to come and ask what you could do to fix it.

Yes, she's gonna find out sometime, so you might as well get it over with. She will probably get even more mad if she finds out another way somehow. Besides, if you get an F, then you need to do something about bringing your grade up. Putting it off will only make it worse. She's gonna get mad, but she will get over it & she will be happier if you just tell her & don't try to hide it from her, then she wont trust you.

She will find out some other way if you dont. I know it will be hard but let this be a lesson in your maturing process. It is always better to be open with your mother and suffer whatever consequences that may follow than to just let it go and have her find out in another way. In life we must learn to suck up to things that are not pleasant.

Have a sense of humor about the whole thing before you do.
Highlight the positives.
Then put on your best pair of running shoes when she comes chasing after you with a broom.

yeah its better to get things out in the open, face the music now and possibly have her do her charlie and then its all over. if you leave it and dont tell her then chances are she'll find out anyway in which case you'll be in way more trouble for hiding it. plus if you dont tell her you'll be worried all the time about her finding out, and if you do tell her now, once displeasure has passed you'll feel alot better and she'll have a little more faith and trust in you.

try change the F to any A with a line if you mom does not look at it to close it will work it worked for me lots of times

if she's anything like my mom you'll have to...just try to put it off until after the weekend so can enjoy one more weekend of going out before you're grounded for life, lol

yes because then she will trust you and respect you for telling her the truth and she wont be on your butt about everything.
