Dear old Dr Legg I think he retired after Dot helped Ethel die by giving her an overdose.

The story goes...Dr Legg was was having an affair with Pauline who found out that Martin was in fact the good doctors - not Arthurs. So Pauline then thouht what she could do before her secret escaped, so she invited the doctor to tea. When he was comfortably seated she set the dog on him (Molly I think) who ate him all up - and so the end of Doctor Legg happened.

He remained Walford's GP for twelve years on-screen. He was eventually written out of the show in February 1997 when the producers decided to introduce a trendier, younger doctor named Fred Fonseca. He has made several cameo appearances since this time however, and was last seen on-screen when he attended Ethel Skinner's and Mark Fowler's funerals in 2000 and 2004.

Dr Legg left the series years ago!! I cant remember the exact story but he told Puline he was leavinG!!!

They found out he was a Nazi concentration camp commander. He was killed when his two Dobermen attack dogs ate him when his phone rang and he accidently said the word Hello. Hello being the attack word that he had taught them to kill on command.
