There are just two OTs rated as first round selections. Joe Thomas of Wisconsin is the consensis choice as the prime OT in the draft and very well could be the 2nd overall choice by the Lions. He isn't considered in Orlando Pace's league, but he will be a solid NFL lineman for many years. He most likely will be a starter from day one and by midseason should be well established as a consistent player who protects his QB. The other tackle rated is Levi Brown of Penn State. He is much weaker and should be picked near the end of the round. Many think he will be picked by the Bears with pick no. 31. He has the raw tools to succeed but is considered and inconsistent blocker and probably will take him awhile to be a starter.
