How do i speed up my computer? I have dial up but i can not afford faster internet so i have to improvise. My games run really slow and i want to enjoy them. Is there away to speed it up without buying expensive items? You can recommend items and i can look at them but i might not buy them so please give more answers then that please.

Now lets clean up your disk.
Run a Disk Cleanup 2 times a month. Run Disk Defrag. monthly.
Do a Disk Cleanup and Disk Defrag. You can find both of them by following the path below.
Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>Disk Cleanup. Let it do its thing. You can check every box that has something to delete.
Now follow the same path and do a Disk Defrag. Again just let it do its thing.
Now lets tweak your connection.
If your speed is good I would not mess with it by trying to tweak it. If you do tweak once it is done you should not have to do it every again.

If the computer is couple of years old you can format the hard drive and reinstall everything. Also you can try defragmenting the drive. Adding more memory is the key but costs money. See if you have too many programs running background, and turn them off. For internet speed, there's nothing much you can do i guess.

You can try windows housekeeping basics like defrag, scan-disk, making sure you have plenty of free disk space and deleting temp files but the speed increase is usually not very great. The cheapest thing that probably has the greatest effect is to add more RAM.
