With nearly 15 years of Sales experience I have tried to persuade the them that it would be in their best interest to either start me off on commission only or up my starting wage. For a company that stock price is near 180 this seams upsurd. They also said that my commission is almost entirely based on how many warranties I sell and Credit Card Signups I have. What is your experience like working in commission sales at Sears, how are the benefits and how can Sears keep employees happy with such low wages. At Lowes they start you out at like 11.25 plus commission in the Appliance center... no one SEARS can't sell anyting who would want to when they treat their employees like that. Get people excited about where they work and the great products. What has happened to that once iconic brand?

That's the way Sears is. They used to pay their employees decent wages and good benefits but not anymore. If I were you I would not worry about working there and would try something else. They are really cheap and expect you to do way too much for what they pay.

I think that is a pretty low starting wage I would tell them that unless they want to up the start wage your going to another place. 15 years is a lot of sales experience and it would probably be well to go to another place that recognizes that.

Retail sales is extremely disappointing when it comes to commision. With 15 years of experience you should look elsewhere.
