Wow Jan I just answerd Politicals question with that same remark. The 10 billion dollars promised to the coast is soo coverd with red tape it's impossible to get any of it. The same goes for the military hospitals, I'm not sure if it's red tape or some-one is afraid they may have to actually work. It's alot easier to make things impossible so the one in need will give up and go away. The VA's have been a disaster for years but as long as the 2 star general is drawing his paycheck what the hell does he or any of the others care. It's hard enough for me to get attention and I'm paying and screaming for attention. My brother in law, who I have great respect for, served 2 years in Nam will not use the VA.

Just Walter Reed? What about all of the other clinics located throughout the U.S.A, and the world. I am 100% disabled by the results of the Vietnam war. It is still hard for me to get proper care by doctors, and hard to get medications from these clinics because they say they do not have the funding from the government. The wounds are deeper than Walter Reed.

What Schumer didn't say was that the deterioration of Walter Reed began during Clinton's presidency. No matter. It is a bloody shame that one of our famous hospitals is a deteriorated pile of crap, especially when we are spending millions (billions) to redo the hospitals in Iraq. America, what has happened to you?

you are able to't deliver mail to an US military installation with out call on it. component of the army's anti-terrorism preparation is to ascertain suspicious mail and between the clues isn't any somewhat call on the kit. There are communities accessible that are waiting to deliver to Walter Reed in simple terms Google for some.

Old news dude, get over your hate and come up with something that you thought of yourself! The VA hospitals have been this way for many, MANY administrations (been there), so what do you say, get off the bandwagon and think for yourself. Katrina was a local issue, the Fed Government is the LAST to come in by Invitation from the Localities! Dude do some reasearch!

Charles Schumer is an idiot and it is doubtful he will be re-elected as he has proven such even to those who elected him.
He recently went so far as to call me, my family and nearly everyone I know an ''anti-semite''.

SCHUMER:''There are some, you know there are some anti-semites in this country, but most of them would vote Republican anyway.''

How dare this pathetic excuse for a man!

In talking with the wives of veterans of previous wars, the veterans have had trouble getting benefits, decent care, and decent hospitals for years and years. This is nothing new. If this situation really gets fixed, it may be the one good thing to come out of this war.

Sounds like something Shumer would say.I'm sure Bush himself ordered the place trashed just as he personally saw to it that all of those people ignored evacuation orders and stayed in New Orleans as he ordered the hurricane to hit there.

I swear that Senator Schumer has to stand up to talk. His words always seem to eminate from his anal cavity.

Let this incident be a lesson to all of those left wing loonies who want universal health care run by the federal government.
