what is a easy to take care of snake or lizard that costs less than 15$

If you can't spend more then $15 you probably shouldn't get a reptile. They cost a lot of money. You need a tank, UVB lights, heat sorce, substrate, decorations/hiding spots and food, which all cost a lot. And what if it gets sick and has to see a vet? You should wait untill you can spend more than that.

The only suggestion i have for that is to go out by a creek and flip over some rocks. Eventually you should find a Garter Snake or a Milk snake or maybe even a Black Rat Snake. Ive had days at my creek where i could catch over 20 snakes in just a couple hours. That is the only way you'll get under $15. Although the cost to care for it will be over $15 with the UVB bulb, a container, substrate for the bottom, and a water dish. Not to mention the worms and crickets youll have to feed it. Good luck.

One you catch in your yard and only plan to keep for a day to look at.
Any snake or lizard you intend to keep long term will cost you a bit of money just to set up the tank. You'll need an escape proof cage, water bowl, place for it to hide, and a heat source.
After you have that set up, you can get a gardner snake and some of the small house gecko's for around 15 dollars in some places. Of course the less expensive snakes and lizards are not all that tame and will only try to get away when held.

a gecko or chameleon. you need a water bowl (put rocks in bottom so they don't drown) , a heat rock, an aquarium, and crickets are cheap to feed it. also cut branches from your yard for it to climb.

lizard,they eat crickets which are cheaper then dead mice

snake. ball pythons are beautiful, don't eat much, and are pretty tame. i don't know how much they are though...
