any jazz musicians have any good tips for learning to build and play solos? anything at all is good..

3 words...Learn Your Scales, lol. Now the hard part is knowing which scales to use. Once you figure this out, the rest is easy. improv using the notes in the chord (arpegios). Add a few notes in between here and there. Sometimes you can just learn the melody of the piece...then using your knowledge of scales......do your own beefed up, almost unrecognizable version of it. That's what I do, lol.

Yeah, what Brandon said. Also, start real simple, tweak your scales slightly as you go. Don't rush what your doing, and don't over think it.
