Memory Card Error!!!!!!!!?

I have a problem, my SD impact memory card is like giving me an error. When I put it in the card reader, the removable disk shows up but goes away at some moments, but when i click it, my computer either goes really slow or a box shows up, saying do you want to format it? I say yes, it says i don't have permision and it didn not format. PLEASE HELP

Let me know if there is a possibility my pictures are lost, if so, can i get em back.

It sure sounds like you may have a problem with the card reader, not the card.

Intermittent errors like this are common when the card is not properly contacting the readers contacts, or the signal/data is corrupted.

Can you get another card reader to confirm the reader is broken?

Alternatively, take your card to a friend or store and try to read it there. If it works there - bingo! your card reader IS broken!
