If I drive my caprice for a while and turn it off, the car will not start again until a couple of days later. When I get out of the car the exhaust is stronger also and the "service engine" light comes on. What is causing this problem?? It is becoming very pessimistic!!

It is a 1991 Caprice Classic with Fuel injection 5.0L motor with no leaks in hoses or anywhere else.

wHAT YEAR IS YOUR CAR ? Is it carbureted or injected ? Fix all leaking vacuum lines and it may work.

could be any one of a 100 things wrong. Need more info on symptoms. Possibly bad catalytic converter with what i read so far.
