Manga is the Japanese word for comics and print cartoons. Outside of Japan, it usually refers specifically to comics originally published in Japan. Traditionally, manga are written from right to left. Some publishers of translated manga keep that format, but some switch the direction to left to right, so as not to confuse foreign readers.

Manga is Japanese comic's.
They are similar to comics all around the world apart from they read right to left, and start at what we would see as the End of the book, and run to the left.
Many famous Manga's that have been converted into Anime's include Naruto, Bleach, Dragonball Z...

manga is just the Japanese word for comics. they use manga and comic interchangeably. outside of Japan it refers to comics from Japan.
some people do believe it's a style of comic as well, but for it to be a style there would have to be stylistic similarities between all examples of manga. since some manga have completely different styles than others (compare Dragonball to Japan Tengu Party Illustrated for example) it's not a true style.

Manga is Japanese comic books. Anime is Japanese cartoons. I bet you were like I was at first, thinking that Anime and Manga were two different styles of animation.
