OC1999 is correct about the Guest Services pass. You can obtain one at City Hall, which is on Main Street USA, off to the left after you walk under the train tracks.

You can call the park and discuss the situation with a Guest Services Cast Member ("Cast Member" is Disney-speak for employee) and they might have you bring a doctor's note to explain the situation. You also can download the "Disneyland Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities" to from the following link: http://adisneyland.disney.go.com/media/dlr_v0200/en_US/help/disabil_gdebk_5_06.pdf

This Guidebook covers most disabilities (sorry, didn't see your mom's listed here) but it can be helpful with other questions and talks about each ride.

AND FOR THOSE OTHER POSTERS: There is no such thing as a front-of-the-line pass at Disneyland. Fastpass gets you into a shorter line at a specific time, but you are limited in the number you can have at one time. Universal Studios does offer a front-of-the-line pass, but not Disneyland.

You are talking about a Guest Assistance Pass. For emotional disabilities they probably will not issue her one but you can go to City Hall and ask. They stopped issuing them to everybody who asked several years ago because of the number of people who abused them. But is NOT a front of the line pass, on several attractions they have alternate lines but the wait can be just as long as the regular line.

The best thing to do is use FastPass whenever possible, this is a Free service on some of the rides. It basically gives you a time later on in the day to come back and have a minimal wait. On rides that do not have fast pass, it might be good to have her sit down at a bench or something near by then as you get close to the end have her join the line.

If it is really a problem then you also may think about not taking her to Disneyland.

Visit Guest Services. My husband and I had a friend with the same situation and they gave him a special pass which allowed him to get right into the fast pass line. So there is still a wait, but a short one. I think 5 people are allowed to tag along with this special pass as well so you can all stay together. No need to call Disney in advance, just stop into any Guest Services office the moment you enter a Disney theme park.

Anxiety you mean? Well, don't know how well this will work but, you can try to see if you can get some kind of a pass by going to City Hall on Main Street. However, you'll still have to wait. The pass doesn't mean you get to skip everyone in line and get right on the ride. They usually will still make you wait. Like you'd go in through the exit of most rides, and they'll make you wait for however long and intergrade/merge you in. Example: If the regular line is an hour long, they usually make you stand-by and then merge you onto the ride after like 45-60 minutes. People think you can just get on the ride immediately without waiting if you have some sort of pass, but it doesn't work like that. Fast Pass can get you through faster, but you still have to wait in a line. Not to mention that I don't ever remember hearing about them giving out these passes to people with anxiety attacks, and I worked in the park for 4 years. One reason is that ANYONE can (and lots of people will and do) lie and say they have some sort of issue that requires them to have a special pass. Soooo many people abuse this system. They'll most likely ask for some kind of proof that she even has this disorder.

But to be honest? If your mom has anxiety attacks that are THAT bad...she probably shouldn't be going to Disneyland. People with anxiety issues feel upset and anxious over the crowds of people and feeling trapped or in an enclosed area, etc. It's not just the "long line" that will cause your mother to feel anxiety...most likely it will be a combination of many other things. So I'm shocked that she'd even think of going to a place like Disneyland if her anxiety attacks were THAT bad.

Contact the park and explain you have a special circumstance. I'm not sure they'll go for anxiety, however, since it's very common. They may also suggest that if she's too unstable to handle standing in line, she may be unable to handle the excitement of the rides.

If you can prove she has a handicap, go to Guest Services and request a handicap pass. You will then be allowed to access all rides by an alternate line.

If the handicap thing doesn't work out, why not just have her sit somewhere while you stand in line, and when it looks like your turn is next, go and get her.

You can pay for a pass that puts you in the front of the line, other than that, she could use some xanax too! Have fun!
