I have had problems in the past with grease splatter from a fish fry getting on my deck and siding. I tried TSP (trisodium phosphate) and other cleaners without a lot of success. I finally ran a bucket of hot water and added a healthy dose of car wash soap. A stiff scrub brush and a few minutes did the trick. Rinse thoroughly afterward and you should be good to go. The best part of it is that the car wash soap only costs a couple of dollars a bottle. I now use it on resin deck furniture and a lot of other outdoor items.

Good luck with your cleaning project.

If that's your default pic, I'm going to have to ask you to spend the summer waterproofing some hardwood on my deck.
