every half second, but nothing comes on the screen, the fans are working and all the cables and memory look to be in securly

allot of remote applications will turn the desktop of the computer being remoted too blue so that the user of that pc knows they are being remoted

It cold be a power supply unit. Are you sure the big fan where your power lead is plugged into is working. I had same problem on my packard bell and thats what it was. Try turning it on with everything disconnected, printer, usb leads even the monitor.

Try rebooting the pc by using the 4 discs which may/may not have come with the p.c, I had to buy mine from packard bell itself.
