isn't the girl denying the very existence of womanhood by setting this as a criteria. i was shocked to listen to this. this girl will have kids one day and will be a mother, will she be able to unconditionally love her son/ daughter if she had this criteria for marriage in the first place.

Don't generalize. Actually some don't really care about the issue. They believe they can manage. Few others actually love to have a mother in law. They believe mother in laws are the best sources to know more about their spouses. And few do feel that mother in laws are nothing but trouble. I know few girls belonging to first two categories. None of the girls I know ever though crap about their to be mother in laws.

If ever you find the third kind, just avoid them.

All the best...

I do not think that it is right to make a man chose a woman that he loves and the woman that took care of him and loved him unconditionally, that is just wrong and awful. I do not think that this person should marry this girl.

i knew a girl who married a guy who had a possesive mother in law, it was an arranged marriage, the mother in law was so worried she would get preggers she slept in between them in their bed

There's a word, I wish I remember which one, in Hebrew, that's for trouble- it literally means "two women in one kitchen".

Possible, we are all individuals, some girls may, think this way.
