In today's politically correct policies that take away from what we really mean to say, when it boils right down to it-how do you really feel about homosexuality? Does it personally offend you? Does it offend your beliefs, and if so, in what way? Anything goes here, be as frank and honest as you can be!

I REALLY and TRULY feel that there should be no discrimination, bigotry or hatred based on how God made someone, whether that relates to their skin color, eye color, gender, or sexual orientation.
Since none of these things are a choice, discrimination based on these truly demonstrates prejudice of a high degree.

How have I been discriminated against?

* I cannot access STATE-given rights that are associated with marriage, just because my partner is a man. This state-sponsored discrimination, promulgated by some religions, is unconscionable.

* I have been physically assaulted merely for being around LGBT bars in over a dozen cities in the US. They didn't bother to ask whether or not I was LGBT before throwing bottles or punches.

* I could go on with others, but I think you get the point.

How could being myself offend me? What offends me are Conservative Homophobes who constantly misquote a corrupt bible to justify their prejudice. If you're a true Christian and know what it means to be Christian, then you know that its not anyone's place to judge and that we should treat everyone the same way we ourselves would want to be treated.

Cactusone: God does have a plan and it's called population control. Homosexuals have been around since the dawn of man. What makes you think this is a new development? How will people being true to themselves result in the whole world becoming Gay or Bi? Wow, what propaganda have you ingested?

Gay people can adopt and we have technology now that makes it unnecessary to conceive through procreation. God gave us the gift of free will, who are we to deny that which is our very nature?

God created me and he doesn't make mistakes!

Personally True Story: In Canada we have such laws against discrimination and its certainly not tolerated in a government atmosphere. I work for the government and one day my BF stopped in to see me, as he was waiting for the elevator, a group of people who work in my building were coming back in from a coffee break when one of them asked who the guy by the elevator was (my BF). One of them said: "Oh, that's the Fruit on the 3rd floor's boyfriend". We have policies against this kind of talk and yet someone was comfortable enough to say it, within ear shot of my BF no less. Needless to say I had reported it to 2 various divisions within my branch of government and the officials were just dumbfounded. He might as well have used the N word, cause it's just as bad and discriminates just as much. I'm lucky enough that my organisation cares it was said. Personally I could care less that someone would use that terminology to offend me, I have a very thick skin and so does my BF. What totally shocked me is that it came out of a federal employee's mouth in a Federal Building no less. What if a member of the public had been in there and took offence to that? Needless to say my superiors were very concerned.

After torturing myself for 21 years about my sexuality i finally decided to come out and be honest about it. Since then my life has changed dramatically. I've lost a lot of people i considered close friends, i've been outcast from my highly conservative religious family and i've had to fight to earn their respect again. On the flip side, since i've let go and just opened up honestly about who i am, i've graduated from university, got my PHD, served in the peace corps, started my own non profit, fallen in love and we just bought our first home. My wife is a school teacher and we are very happy. however....everytime we go out we are subject to others scrutiny. Some people dont even see us as human beings, they suddenly feel it is ok to comment, say things, yell at us, as if all rules are out the window because we are gay. I've had my tires slashed, beer bottles thrown at my head, on our road trip cross country we were refused service, thrown out of restaurants, refused hotel rooms, spit at and i was physically assaulted in central california last year by a man while his children cheered him on. so while it seems that most people on here are 'fine with it'...the real proof is in the pudding, what are we doing to make sure these things no longer happen?

It doesn't offend me at all. It does offend a lot of people I know because I am very religiously Jewish, but I believe that the bible was written down by man, not G-d, and man makes mistakes. That's my view.

I hate to say it, but I don't care. It's so odd that people are so worried about other people's sex/love lives. It's nuts. Should I be angry that Jon likes to expose his genitals to boys instead of girls? I mean, all this gay talk is too personal. And yes, gay people should be allowed to get married, either that or abolish marriage all together.

Nope. Doesn't offend me at all. I've never thought it was wrong at all. I've had gay friends for many years and have defended gay people for a long time.

it doesn't bother me. i don't care what others do if it's not harming anyone.

I don't like being hit on by guys, but if a gay man can take no for an answer, I've no problem with him. I've always had gay friends, and the instances where I've been hit on by an obnoxious gay man have been very, very rare.

Perfectly natural. I don't see why it offends anybody.

The fact that I can't legally marry my monogamous partner of 7 years. That's how I've been discriminated against.

I feel everyone has their choice in life on weather to go with the saying of God or not. I choose to be with a man the opposite sex. what ever any one else wants to do fine as long as their not hurting any.

Well, I REALLY don't have any sort of problem with it. Doesn't offend me, or my beliefs.
