Music (to me) profoundly effects my mood. I would have to say music is my life...it helped me get through loss, it makes me happy, helps when im angry, makes me wanna dance, helps when I'm sad, it does so much...its really helped me through good times and bad...I couldn't live without it!

Music is history, memory and mood for me.

I can recall events and dates just by a particular song.

Good music can make a really long drive not so bad or when I am kicking back smoking a cigar, sipping cognac with Steely Dan in the background.

My ipod has a "Get my groove on" playlist when I am entertaining a honey, ya know!

Sure it can change the way I feel but I usually choose the music to fit my mood.

Depending on the genre of music it can make me happy, sad, angry, or energized. Hippie music = happy, slow sappy nirvana = sad, hard rock/metal = angry, techno = energized.
