All my other lights (head, hazzard, interior, etc) all work. Before they quit working when I signaled my blinkers were blinking faster than usual, and then nothing. What could cause this, will it be easy enough for a girl to fix who knows very little about cars?

When it blinks fast that means the bulb is going. You need a new light bulb for the signal light.

A rapidly blinker signal light usually means that a turn signal bulb is not working. But I assume that both left AND right are flashing rapidly and thus probably not a burnt out bulb. Since the four-way flashers use the same bulb element as the turn signals, see if the four-ways are lighting up. If they do, then you know the bulbs are OK.

I suspect that the "flasher" is bad. The flasher is usually located in the fuse box. It comes in various sizes, but is almost always different looking that a fuse. Check your owner's manual to see where your signal flasher is located and what it looks like.

They're not expensive and normally easy to replace. Most just pull out/push in. Yes. They are easy to replace. So easy, even a caveman can do it!!! :)

Good luck!!

do any of the bulbs work? If not check and verify the fuses are good. If only one on one side works then the one not working is bad. Next step verify all bulbs are good. If bulbs are good go to the fuse panel and turn on the blinker and feel the flasher unit. You should be able to hear it and feel it clicking on and off. If it is good it is the switch itself. Unless you have ever done anything with an air bag before have someone replace the switch. Never poke or cut any yellow wires since that is the color for the air bag systems.

Sounds to me like your bulb burned out. The way blinking lights work is they have a filament that as current runs through it, it heats up, which causes it to pull apart, which causes the circuit to break, which causes the light to turn off. When the light is off the filament cools and regains contact, which closes the circuit so the light will come back on. When the bulb wears out on a blinker, it loses contact sooner as it expands. Just replace the bulb and it should work fine. Depending on the make and model of your car you should be able to replace the bulb by getting at it from the trunk if it's a rear light, or from under the hood if it's in the front. The information should be in your owners manual. If not then get an automaotive repair guide, specific to the make, model and year of your car, by Chilton or Haynes. This should be availible at your local bookstore or autoparts store.

easily I easily have not in any respect heard of a lighter in a motor vehicle with a flame. I easily have merely heard of the coil form which receives heated via electricity once you push it in. yet besides merely have the lighter checked for continuity to work out if the lighter has failed and word once you've voltage from the socket the position you plug it in to work out if it truly is the priority!
