45 yrs of age, You will have to pay for a medical at your Dr's(UK)

At the time of the first renewal after reaching the age of 45. an (expensive) medical at your own doctors will be required but if you are working for a decent company they will either reimburse the cost or arrange for you to see their own doctor at their expense. The DVLA will send you the appropriate forms for the doctor to complete and sign along with your licence renewal form.

Yes, 45. If you've got a pilot's licence, it's the same medical. Just thought I'd mention it.

45 then every 5 years after that until you reach 70 then its yearly, but you will have to pay for the medical at a dvla approoved doctors
