What are some similarities and differences between Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and Nathaniel Hawthorne's Birthmark?

Frankenstein is a well know horror tale, but some may not know of the Birthmark. Here is a link to the short story:

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi

I'd repost this under Home->Education-Homework Help. Many times these books are used in school curriculums and assigned as homework. You’ll find a much more ready, and willing to answer, audience there!
