Women wear all the same clothes men wear, yet you wouldnt catch a man wearing a skirt, why??

Also men dont shave under there Arms, why is there such a difference in our appearance and why is it that one thing seems normal to females and yet totally abnormal to males!!

There really are only two ways to clothe the bottom half of a human being - skirt or pants. Throughout history men have worn both. For example, the Roman toga or the Scottish kilt. For the labor-intensive or sports activities usually associated with men, pants offer more protection than skirts. In today's society, pants have so become the norm for men that a man wearing a skirt would appear abnormal. This is only fashion, though, and has nothing to do with "manliness.

Along those same lines, although it is opposite in most species, female humans wear the gaudy plumage to attract mates. That includes lipstick, eyeliner, and the shaving of legs and armpits, because, again, current fashion dictates that women that appear "smooth and silky" are more attractive to men than your hirsute feminist tree hugger (no offense to hfth's intended).

Societal norms. It's only because it is a part of our culture. When I was in high school I showed up to school one day wearing a skirt (actually doing some advertising for a friend, but no one knew that) and I was told I had to go home. I tried to fight it by saying that girls could wear skirts up to their thighs, but I was being send home for a skirt to my ankles. It sucks in a way, that society completely controls what is correct and not and that inidividualism is in some cases muted. Oh well, I still feel I live in a pretty great place.

Men do wear skirts, especially in Scotland. Also a lot of men shave their underarms. Sports players are the most common, but regular guys do it too. I don't tho.

Some men do wear skirts and dresses. More men than you might think shave their under arms. I do and it feels more hygienic.

Ignorance mainly.

If most of the public knew or saw some guy on tv wearing a skirt and got used to it then it wouldn't be a problem. I'm not talking about the guy who's transitioning to become a woman. They've managed to pick the ugliest possible person they can find in order to portray him as some sort of ugly example of a transgendered person -- "Transparent" the tv show. It is a poor example of crossdressing and it is telling...because NOT all crossdressers act or want to be seen this way, yet they manage to intensely stereotype them for viewer's enjoyment and entertainment...which is biased and is the wrong train of thought..

NO.

I mean pick a guy or a bunch of guys who like to wear skirts on a regular basis dating women and presenting as males. A LOT more women out there like men in skirts than they will admit ! I've dated many, many, many women who think I'm sexy just because I think differently than the rest and those women are completely 100% secure in their femininity and sexuality. They could care less what other people think man or woman. They're NOT changing sides and they don't expect me to either...

As a semi-crossdresser I only date women, period. It's just that pants to me are NOT an option. They are awful to wear, impossible in the crotch, never fit right, they're rigid, uncomfortable and health wise they are absolutely awful and simply put pants are factories for disease including yeast infections, mold, pollen, sweat and serious rashes. Why would a woman even wear them being so close to such a sensitive area on their bodies ?! And what girl would want to date a guy with those kind of health problems caused by pants ???

Wearing pants is weird...

I've never had a problem with being in public a denim skirt either. The only thing that happens to me is I frequently get asked "where did you get your skirts and hose" and told -- very often -- "Damn, you're legs are REALLY sexy in a skirt !" and I'm an older male. Many women compliment me whenever they see me because they're not afraid I'm going to steal their femininity or sexuality or make a scene involving them. They see me as an equal in a skirt and I treat them just the same...I don't want them to lose their femininity, I happen to like a woman in a dress or skirt, although I'm ONLY interested in wearing skirts, that's all...and none of them are even remotely bothered about introducing me to their friends and family. They are very open minded people who see beyond what a person is wearing which is extremely rare in the female feminist world...I have nothing against feminists, I support them, but I like skirts too, period.

The reason is, I wear knee length solid denim skirts that are clean, neat, professional and I like to blend in with the crowd, plus I'm wearing a male top....always. I follow the same dress code females do when I wear skirts so my friends, the people I meet, the place I work and wherever I go in my own personal time I get support from people and they aren't afraid of me expressing myself as I like to see fit. :">

Even my girlfriend thinks it's wonderful and she supports me by wearing skirts, helping to pick them out for me and going out with me as well. She is definitely NOT gay, has no intention of switching sides and she completely, totally, without question understands this is a ME thing, that it perfectly fits me as a male and that I'm not doing anything even remotely considered to be gay, that I present as a male and in the bedroom, lol. What she wants is for me #1 to be confident and #2 to be myself...it doesn't matter what I wear in front of her in or out of the house and long as I'm a male and I'm being myself... ;-)

The world is changing...change with it or your kids will be left behind...

What, you never saw a Scotsman in a kilt? And we don't shave under our arms because we don't ordinarily wear clothes that expose our armpits.

I have worn a kilt to the wedding of a good friend of mine and I have shaved my armpits while in the middle east (you can guess why I was there) as it helps to keep you cooler in the desert heat.
