your best and fast solution to back up is to buy an external HD, move all your stuff to this, format your computer, and copy youir stuff back, then you're back in business again. I would buy a large HD, at least 200 or 300 gig, and keep backing up your stuffs, for future usage or something happens to your computer, so you can always have your backup.

If you have a DVD-writer then just make a data disk with your personal files on DVD using either Windows Copy/Paste to the Drive or software like Roxio

If you do not have one then you can do the same with CD. It takes about 7 CDs to equal 1 DVD though.

The last alternative would be to buy a sewcond HD and copy your personal files to it and then reformat your C drive. A second drive also protects you in case your OS fails and you are unable to recover data. (This is my recommendation)

Just copy it to an external hard drive or onto another place on your internal hard drive such as a D:/ drive, if not burn everything important onto DVD (bigger than CD)
