I'm not into PC games, but a friend had convinced me to buy The SIms (not The Sims 2). I liked it, and after a long time I bought Livin' Lange (expansion). The cover says that there are new items like the Chemistry Lab, Electric Guitar, new characters like the Grim Reaper, etc. But when I installed it, all that I saw a few new items. Do you think the only way I can have the "new items" is for me to buy The Sims 2?

No, you don't need the sims 2.

All your new items are scattered throughout the menus and some are accessed in other ways. (ie grim reaper when you die)

No, you don't need the Sims 2 to get items from the Sims 1; they're two different games. Just go into the buy mode, and click miscellaneous. Then you'll see the new items.

ps-the grim reaper only shows up when a sim dies, by the way. So you shouldn't see him too often.

You do not need to buy the Sims 2. The Grim Reaper is when someone dies, you can plea for them. He either makes them come back or lets them die. The chemistry lab is under mischaleous (I spelled that wrong!) and then under another thing. Same with the elctric guiatr, except it's under music.
