I am looking for people's insights on the following quote. It's a pretty basic quote but I want to know what people think of it. What is your basic interpretation, or what can you relate it to. Thanks!

Problems cannot be solved at the same level of awareness that created them.
--Albert Einstein

He's saying that at a certain point in time when the problem was created, we were aware of certain things...to resolve this problem we're going to have to be a lot more knowledgeable.

Another Einstein quote provides the best commentary on the one you gave:

""Intellectuals solve problems, geniuses prevent them."

This is awesome!
If you're like me, you overanalyze with all of this logic and detail and crap, and your six year old can break it down really simply.
If you're dumb, or just simple, you might miss the important clues.
But ifyou've been paying attention and there's a problem, t's becuase you didn't already have the right level of attention put on it, whatever it is!

people make problems/bad things without thinking. but it takes a while to fix those problems.

i.e. a kid, just playing around with his brother, decides to throw a ball at his brother and it ends up causing his brother a lot of problems (like a broken bone or something), although the kid did not mean to hurt his brother, he was just carelessly playing

perhaps he was referring to the discovery of radiation/nuclear power. people created it unaware that someday it would cause a great amount of destruction
