I don't get that far into it man. My first gaming addiction was frogger, and I've had plenty of others since then. lol
Eventually, these people (who fit all your classifications) will have to grow up, and live life, fall in love, get a thing called a J.O.B., but till then, we know where to find them - in their mom's basement attached to a controller.
Yea, I'll space out for hours, curse at my dog for being in my way, don't answer the phone, the housework or the door, but You better believe I am bragging when I FINALLY beat that game! I've never been to a lan party, and I love my hubby and kids. No, I don't work but I play mommy 24/7. I don't consider myself addicted to any games right now... The internet (including p&s) is a different story though... lol

It's all just a part of reality, and I think you're classifying all gamers into a little niche that not all of them belong in.
I'm a girl "gamer", but I don't go to LAN parties, "hate" love, "hate" reality, and refuse to work.
Sometimes I do get stuck in my own little bubble and space out and play video games, but I'm a straight A sophomore in high school who works 5 days a week and still has time for her friends. Being a gamer doesn't classify you as some little self-quarantined nerd who refuses to accept reality as we know it.
Not ALL gamers are nutzo. And honestly, I've never met one who fits all of the criterion you listed.
