has anyone ever seen a ghost? if so what happened?

My Gran said that once when my Grandad was really sick she saw him get out of his body & walk through a wall. not sure if this counts as he wasn't dead.

Hi there. I have seen a number of ghosts, the first time I saw something was when I was 13 I was lying in bed it was bout 9:30pm my room suddenly got very cold (strange as I had the airing cupboard in my room) I looked around my room and there he was a short old gentleman with a long grey beard, I could see through him and he pointed at my airing cupboard. I hid under the covers (as you do!) for about 5-10 Min's I peeked round and he was gone.

The story does not end there about 3-4 months after we had to have a new central heating system tank and all and when the tank was taken out I saw a newspaper cutting of an old bloke getting an award of somewhat. That night I saw him again and he had a smile on his face and he then faded as if a light had been turned out, but I wasn't scared this time I was quite sad. I have seen a ghost but they do strange things like if I wanted to see it would'nt show up where you expected to be but on the direct left or right of your body[The corner of your eye]. The ghost I saw was in a haunted village and was an old countryman riding on a shire horse. I had this feeling and just looked to my right and I saw it by accident. When I turned my head and looked at it full....it disappeared.

erm, well, I have had many experiences with ghosts. right now I am shaking and my stomach's knotted up. anyway, it was a dark night with little rain, when all of a sudden, my bean bag chair flipped over by itself! i was so scared i couldn't breathe. i mean, how do you think that when my dad is downstairs and there is no one else in my house and i have just entered the room? i don't think i've ever SEEN a ghost.... because i don't think you really can. i guess you can only see what they do to the things around them. after all, they might be more scared of us than we are of THEM!

I once woke up from sleep, turned around (dont know why??) and there was a man sat staring at me... the i screamed and hid under the covers (i was 23) and stay there until light... i dont think i slept the rest of the night i was that scared. turned out an old man died in the house. Also the telly turned on once in the middle of the night on a different channel to what we watched last!!. i moved out.

believe it or not i dont care, but me and my bros does. 5 of us was there at nite. my old house at van buren had a ghost. we all was watching sponge bob and then the mirror that was against the wall start shaking faster and faster. then the door slam three time. after that our neighbor 6 yr old daughter start screaming and she said she saw someone hanging herself. then we went outside and saw nothing. then my 10 yr old bros scream and saw ghost walk across us. everybody was so scared that we freeze at one spot. closed to each other. next day my parent call the manager and told her she believe us and let us move out as soon as we can. for a couple of days, beds shakes all the time and door slaming then we move out and hope thatit doesn't follow us to the new home. i never believe in ghost until now. my bros and i tell this 2 everyone,but the only person who believe it is our neighbor and our family. believe it or not is your choice.

Really. I did. It was when I was a bit younger and a bit of a ladies man on a regular occurance. Ok...so it was a looong time ago, but I digress...

I lived in a house that had the spirit of a woman haunting it who didn't take kindly to my late night rabble rousing and skirt chasing. She didn't really bother me all that much but I often saw things moving around in dark rooms behind half closed doors and out of the corner of my eye.

As well I often heard water running on the other side of the house only to find it turned off when I would finally get out of bed to go investigate.

I never really thought much of this until one early morning, after a big fight with a girfriend, I awoke in that half-there stage where your conscious of what is going on but still feel like you're asleep.

I not only saw the door to my room opening but sensed the spirit move across the room towards my bed. I was sleeping with my arms over my head, as I often do, and as sure as I'm breathing today the ghost proceeded to hold me down on my bed in an angry manner.

I began to awake more fully and leave the half dozed stage I was in only to now truly feel the struggling between me and this unseen force.

Finally I let out a big gasp and sat straight up in bed, sweating and moving my arms freely now as I was let go by whatever had control over me moments before.

I only bring this up now because a few nights ago I was in a hotel in Charleston, SC (which is highly regarded as one of the most haunted cities in the US) and could swear saw and felt a force much like I felt that one morning as it crossed the room to hold me down in my half awakened state.

I don't think it was the same spirit mind you, and it did not touch me, but sure enough I had the same chills running down my spine before I even felt the presence of this being that had seemingly come across my path...or I across it.

So ya, I believe in them...believe I have seen them...and am sure there is something they're trying to tell us at times like these.

i did when i was younger. Nothing really happened. I got up from bed to get a drink ...felt something watching me from behind ..turned and saw a white glowy see-thru bull dog. He didnt mean any harm just had a look of why are you out of bed?
Then poof was gone.

yes i have on several occasions.

the best time was when i lay in bed one night and i felt as though some one was sat next to me, i opened my eyes and an old school friend (who i later found out had hung himself earlier that month) lay next to me, he was just smiling.
