Has your pediatrician ruled out the possibility that your child has sleep apnea? Sleep apnea in babies is very serious, and can possibly be related to SIDS. Sleep apnea is where you stop breathing while you are asleep, until you startle yourself awake. Babies cant startle themselves awake as well as grown-ups can. Symptoms are blue around the nose/mouth, tingly fingers and toes (from lack of oxygen to your extremities), and sleepyness during the day.
I would definetly call your pediatrician, and tell him/her that you would like to speak with him about it. If he dismisses you again, I would try another pediatrician. Find someone who will listen to you. I cannot stress this enough! If he is not breathing properly while he is asleep, it can lead to all kinds of other problems, even heart problems. They might send your daughter to a pediatric pulnomary specialist, and she might have to have the sleep test done, but it was well worth it. They found out my son had sleep apnea (my husband has it and its heriditary), and they put him on a monitor when he sleeps at night. It has this really loud alarm that goes off when he stops breathing.
Please check this out further. My son had blue lips as his only symptom when I first took him to the doctor. AND the coloration was gone by the time I took him to his doctor. She gave me tons of information, and we got him checked out right away. Babies who die of SIDS are often babies who have sleep apnea, and the parents arent aware of any problems.
Good Luck and feel free to email me if you have anymore questions.

My son actually started to look very blue at about the same age.. The doctor told me it was just bruising from the quick delivery. Maybe have it checked out just to be on the safe side.

Sometimes new babies will be kind of blue. As long as her trunk and lips are not blue I don't think you should worry. Just keep an eye on it. If it keeps happening past two weeks of age then talk to her doctor about other possibilities.

This likely isn't because he's aggressive yet because he's teething. he continues to be only a domestic dog. Get him some chew toys or the bones that are especially for pups who're teething. he will love you for this. i'm particular he would not like having to chew on such issues as that. in case you imagine its because he's only aggressive, then lookup some issues on-line about education him... that you'll favor to do besides and characteristic a rather reliable shot because he continues to be only a domestic dog. Pits are very loving dogs until eventually they are experienced now to not be. do not punish him for doing this yet advantages him for even as he would not. i have lengthy gone the efficient reinforcement route with each pit ive had and in no way had a issue.

i am not sure about the eyes and nose but when my son was 12 days old he turned blue on his lips, we took him to the er and he was admitted for evaluation for 4 days. i wouldnt play around with discoloring. if it happens again i would take her in immedtiately (like to the er). they ended up saying they think that his lips turned blue because my son had a cold that he forgot to breathe out of his mouth because newborns are nose breathers. better safe than sorry

I was watching untold stories of the ER on the discovery chanel and they had something similar to that. The baby was getting blue because she was given regular tap water to mix her formula and it turned out that the tap water had things in it that made the baby sick. I would definatly get a second opinion.

Your daughter may be overly cautious, but I argue that mother knows best, and if she thinks something is wrong then there probably is. Get a second opinion or request a referral to a pediatric cardiologist for a consultation.
