Or is it just me? Or is it just younger people being insensitive to people's getting older? Or is it that younger people just have no respect any more for their elders? Or is it ALL of the above? Case in point, I've worked at my job 16 years. New, younger women were hired here, with a fraction of my experience, and treat me and other "saged" women here like the place couldn't run without them. I wonder who they thought ran things before they graced us with their "expertise"?

Your answers are my therapy...please make them good!

First, I think it's just a "woman" thing. Women treat other women like cr@p all the time. It's jealousy I guess. I've had problems at work, and at school from women, who it seemed to me, had nothing better to do than try and cause problems. Why? We should really be the ones sticking together, and caring about each other. we are the nurturers! We are the nest builders! Yet, there are those who seek to destroy my nest! They try to flirt with married men, and steal them away! They seek to initiate themselves into the workplace, and gossip about you, or try to make you look bad to the boss and co-workers. Does it make them better to cut someone else down? Do they feel prettier because they made someone else feel low? Women! Go right now, find someone, (another woman) you've put down, put out, pushed aside, made to feel low; tell her you're sorry, and be better women! It's not a competition! To see who can be the biggest b*tch! Look what we are teaching our children! To gut the other woman like she was a fish!!???

A good hair dye will take care of that problem...or not.

Those new and young women are just scared of making mistakes. Remember how we were when we started in the work world? Cocky and arrogant when we thought we were being helpful and trying to do our best.

Remember that you are a Powerful Woman who deserves respect - starting with your own! Those new girls will learn by example how they should be treating your, so be good to yourself.

LOL I love it. Yes, I also have gray hair. The younger generation does seem to think they know it all and I don't think they have much if any respect for their elders. Truthfully, I try to stay away from the younger generation and am pretty successful. I do not envy you your job.
Keep the chin up and good luck. (I love gray and white hair)

I think that they are looking down on you because you are old, and have convinced themselves that your method are outdated. i think that they are disrespecting you and you should say something about it
