Yes, in fact it is the prevailing theory that Kidney stones are in fact the process whereby the human body rids itself of small UFOs that have been caught in our digestive system.

So, microscopic lifeforms are even now traveling down your esophagus to your lower intestine whereupon the set up shop and build condos. In fact whole shopping communities exist within your villi. Some theorize that snot is actually the byproduct of their warp engines so when you sneeze you are delivering an antimatter spray which momemtarily suppresses the immune system causing others to become ill.

To answer your question seriously, we have managed to miniturize our electonics and optics so it would be possible to make a pea size object to take pictures of the earth. But if you are talking about peas size aliens, it is doubtful because their brain capacity would be miniscule. It would be like having an intelligent fly - there's just not enough room for a brain of intelligence equal to ours in so small an object.

Since it's an UNIDENTIFIED Flying Object, all it needs to be able to do is fly. It can be made of anything and be any size, as long as it can move around in the sky without help. If you're assuming an on-board, organic intelligence, there may be minimum brain size and life support considerations, but aside from that, it can be anything.

Oh, and you probably do have to be able to see it. Otherwise...

There is a funny story where an entire invasion fleet is eaten by a small dog. Could happen.

They could be. They could also be disguised as elephants. You still need some evidence.
