after connecting psp to computer u must make connection (on) from settings in psp then it will open as a partition in my computer

I had a lot of trouble with this myself. Plug the usb part into the computer. Then plug the other end into the psp. Turn your psp on, go to settings, and go to usb mode. On your computer, go to your documents, or my computer. There should be a removable disk labeled E. That's your psp. If you're still having problems, try these sites:

After connecting the cable on both end, in your PSP, go to Setting -> USB Connection. Your computer should recognizes the hardware and you should see the driver in your computer.

most computers will reconize a external adapter if you have windows 2000 and up that is. for my sk3 i wait for a secound to load and i go to my computer where it will display another c drive look alike but under g or h. hope that helps
