How old are you? I think I have watched Fight Club with my mother several times. Part of developing an adult relationship with your mother is respecting that both of you are mature human beings. Not knowing your age or your relationship with your mother, it is hard to give advice. But, I think it would be perfectly fair and mature of you to say to your mother, "I'm not sure that you would enjoy watching it with me, it has some pretty graphic scenes that I think you'd be uncomfortable with." You might be surprised to find that she would like to see it anyway. If you are concerned that she is trying to get you in trouble for watching something she would find inappropriate, then that requires a slightly different conversation about your maturity level and ability to watch adult subject matter without being unduly influenced by it. If you are young enough that you need to have that conversation with her, then this is a very good opportunity. Fight Club has some adult scenes, but it is a relatively sophisticated movie with some social commentary woven into the plot. She might be able to recognize that the sex scenes are part of a general theme in the film about the repression of the self (manifested though split personality) that is promoted by modern culture.
Anyway, if it was me and I was 14 or older, I would just watch the movie with my mother, feel a little awkward, and take it as a step toward having an adult relationship with a parent. Now that I'm an adult, it is really nice to feel like I can relate to my mother not only as her daughter, but also as a friend and peer.

Well -- no offense to anyone but your mom is an adult and she's capable of handling offensive scenes - I know so many different moms that have enjoyed movies worse than that and they come out fine. FIght Club is an awesome movie let her see it. Unless you don't want her knowing you watch that stuff or your mom is a complete conservative with high moral standards don't worry about it she wont have a heat attack lol

You should sit down and watch it with her. Or maybe suggest another movie. It may not be fight club in particular that she wants to watch. Maybe she would just like to spend some time with you and fight club was just an excuse.

Why not? Take it as a compliment that she considers you mature enough to watch an adult movie together and enjoy it. Watch it with her it won't be uncomfortable since everyone has sex it's no secret, not to mention if she doesn't understand anything in it you can explain and be the wise one for a chance. :)

So let her watch it... I think she might know a thing or two about sex, and the scenes are minimal.
Out of the whole movie it's the sex scenes you're concerned about???

i wouldn't worry about the sex, i would worry about the general anarchy theme. Shows a self destructive side that you mamma wouldn't feel comfortable with..And considering it is terrorism based, you may wanna say you lost it...
I have recently got back into that movie, and i do not think it would have been made in the post 911 world.
Kudos, good movie

Just tell her "MOM you might not want to watch it cause there are some graphic details, you need the edited version like I watched!"
Of course wyou will probably be lying! But from now on don't hang stuff like that in your room!!!!! Tell her to wait till it's on TV, cause it will have all that cut out like the one you watched!!!!

I really hope you arent having sex yet, because if you arent mature enough to watch fight club, (which btw, isnt about sex) with your mom, then you arent mature enough to HAVE SEX!

She isn't a child. She's probably seen much more shocking stuff in her lifetime. If you're uncomfortable with it, don't watch it with her.
