Some people are just deathly allergic to anything with fur. If it's really bad, the cuteness, and niceness of the animals won't appeal to them anyway, because touching the animal will cause them to get runny noses, watery eyes, maybe even a rash. That's a perfectly good reason to not like animals.

Others may have tried to pet a guard dog, or had a cat jump on them, or had some similar bad experience.

And soemtimes, for no apparent reason, an animal will show it's dislike for a perfectly nice person, who may happen to be carrying the scent of an "enemy" animal, or was surprised by the animal, and began to show fear because of it, or really just doesn't know how to behave around animals, and does something stupid, like petting it the wrong way, coming on too fast, etc.

Animals can answer that for you.If the animal satys awa from someone, maybe you shouldnt trust them. But if the animal wants to be near someone that doesnt like animals it usually means there ok. Some people dont like animals from a bad experience as a child. Like getting chased or bit by a dog. Not all people who dislike animals are bad people.

If someone has had a bad experience with animals in the past and is just scared or uncomfortable around them, then I don't think less of them. If they just don't like animals and/or are intentionally cruel to them, then I do tend to think that says a lot about them as people. I wouldn't trust them.

Yes. I know people that don't like animals, but they also would never want to see them hurt or abused. Now if it is someone that doesn't like animals that shows the animals they don't like them through abuse or neglect.. that's different.
