Invite it inside for a cup of joe...nice and smooth like. Then when you go into the kitchen to "get the drinks" put a lighter in your pocket. Give it it's drink and then look out the window and exclaim "Whoa was that a reindeer that just flew past?!" When the tree goes to look,set it a flame, push it out the door and lock it.

I'll get the tree chipper! It will take me awhile to get there though, finding the money for the plane ticket, getting the tree chipper past airplane security somehow, the actual flight....Damn! It will take too long to get to you! It might already be too late....
Wait, I have a better idea. Maybe you should try borrowing a chainsaw and chop the tree to little pieces.â¥
