I'm a sucker for one...but in the past I was usually the one being taken advantage of.
Gave a guy some cash to get a bus back home because he had a fight with his girlfriend and she had taken his car (with his wallet and jacket in the back seat) and left him stranded walking around the city all night. Gave him my business card and he was going to return the money as soon as he could get back home...Never saw him again and later found out he was a con artist that was working the neighborhood.
Had a relative who needed help with a co-signed loan. Was supposed to be a one year thing until he got his life back together and his business loan came through from the government. Only there was no business loan, and four years later I am finally free of the loan and several $$$ shorter in the pocket.
Had a charity call me and I agreed to donate to their cause. They shared their mailing list with everyone else (can tell from the spelling on my envelopes) and now I get loads of unsolicited mail and phone calls...for a while it was up to 5 calls a night.
It is cases like that that will basically thicken your skin and make it tough for people who ACTUALLY have a sob story and deserve a second chance.

I'm a total sucker for a sob story but can spot a fake one a mile away...i don't allow others to take advantage of the situation as i'd never take advantage of theirs.

I get to involved and hurt for who ever is having a rough time. It's a real problem I have. Someone is really down, I end up worse off and even more depressed over it. I don't know why.

I'm always looking out for the Con. But my kids get me everytime. "Daddy Can I listen to music though my phone without downloading? Yes sweety you need a SD card. I don't have one. I'll buy it for you." That just happened not 5 minutes ago.

I am a heartless bastard when need be. Don't throw that sob crap at me it'll never work. I can smell that tactic to get something you want from a mile away.

i'm getting to in contact and damage for who ever is having a no longer man or woman-pleasant time. that is a very problem i extremely have. someone is quite down, i eventually finally end up worse off or possibly extra constructive depressed over it. i do no longer understand why.
