Usualy a laptop that you want to use for school work like if your in college I am ordering a Hp dv900t it is 1600 dollars and it can play alot of games but if you buy 1 for under 800 you will less likely be able to play a good game.

I would go with the HP dv2000z, if you want an HP.
I'd upgrade the memory(RAM) to 1gb and the hard drive to the 80 gb. Should be right about 800 bucks.
